A smart irrigation system helps farmers save water and reduce manual work. In this recent project in Thalapalayam, a 15-acre banana and tapioca farm was upgraded with an advanced Dcon Ag Air irrigation system. As a result, the farmer can now control irrigation easily and improve crop growth.
This project was completed in Thalapalayam on a 15-acre farm. The farm grows banana and tapioca crops. Earlier, irrigation required more labor and time. However, after installing the smart irrigation system, the process became simple and efficient.
In this setup, we installed a wired automation system with 24 valves. Each valve controls a specific irrigation zone. Therefore, water is distributed evenly across the farm. This also avoids overwatering.
The farm uses drip irrigation for better water efficiency. In addition, the automation system controls irrigation based on schedule. Because of this, the farmer gets better control and saves water.
Firstly, it reduces water wastage. Secondly, it saves labor costs. Moreover, it ensures proper irrigation at the right time. As a result, crop growth improves and yield increases.
The system uses a controller connected to 24 valves. Each valve works automatically based on settings. So, irrigation happens on time without manual work.
Today, farmers prefer drip irrigation with automation. This method delivers water directly to plant roots. Hence, it reduces wastage and improves efficiency.
After installation, water usage decreased. Also, labor work reduced. In addition, crop health improved. Therefore, the farmer achieved better productivity.
Nowadays, farmers face water shortage and labor issues. So, they choose automation. It helps them manage irrigation easily and improve farm performance.
This smart irrigation system installation in Thalapalayam shows how automation helps farming. With 15 acres and 24 valves, the farmer now saves water, reduces effort, and increases yield.
“Automation is highly recommended for struggling farmers and those traveling long distances for irrigation.”
Stop spending hours turning valves in the heat. Our advanced controllers ensure your crops get the water they need exactly when they need it.
