Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Embedded Software Testing Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our embedded software products through rigorous testing processes. You will work closely with our development team to identify and resolve issues, contributing to the overall success of our embedded systems projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded software.
  • Perform manual and automated testing on embedded systems to identify bugs, defects, and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with software developers to understand project requirements and design appropriate testing strategies.
  • Analyze test results and report defects using issue tracking systems.
  • Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Conduct regression testing and retesting of resolved issues.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure software quality from the early stages of development.
  • Document testing processes, procedures, and results for future reference.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies and processes to enhance software quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in embedded software testing.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ or Python.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI, CAN).
  • Knowledge of debugging tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other hardware testing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in safety-critical or automotive embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in embedded software testing.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
